Kit was born in East Africa in the early 50s. When he was 15 he started playing lead guitar and Shadows music with a school band. 50 years ago he started playing bass guitar and blues harmonica, with a band called ‘The Breadline’, covering the main dance halls and RAF camps around Bristol and Wales. They became the resident blues and soul band at the Dugout in Park Row, Bristol.
He met his gorgeous wife, Sue, when The Breadline played for a friends 21st birthday party in Wick village hall. Over the last 20 years or so he has played bass guitar and harmonica (harp) for the Falcons, who are now a 60’s rock covers band. Eventually he aspired to 2nd lead guitar and then recently to lead guitar for the current Falcons. The band has been joined by two fine players, Jim Lott on bass and Shane McCrae on drums who are now the power drivers behind the Falcons.
Kit normally plays a unique custom made Telecaster which sings like an angel and is fitted with Roland GK-3 pickup played through a Roland GR55 guitar synthesiser to give the guitar massive orchestral sounds and extra instruments which enhance the band’s sound.
Kit says “I love the sound we have now, full of colour, lots of harmony and the remarkable lead voice of Gill, who does her best to keep us in musical shape, when she feels something’s wrong”
Kit left the band in December 2022.
